I can only see half of the drain but not all of it. I also see white clouds in the blue sky. The water looks very shallow. This photo has been taken from a high angle.

I can see a lot of greenery in this photo. There is lots of reflection through the water in the river. This photo has been taken with a shallow depth of field. The fore ground is sharp and the back ground is blurry. I can see the rule of thirds.

In this photo the weather is cloudy and sunny but not rainy. I really like the shadows and the reflection. The artist has zoomed in on one little green tree. I really like the texture on the ground.

Our inaugural onsite store ‘The Art Shop’ at the Harbourview Sculpture Trail opened its doors last weekend and is proving to be a hit! Open daily from 10am over the 3-week trail season, The Art Shop features some smaller works…

Emil McAvoy has taken this photo of the reflection through the mirror at People's Park. I can see two cold colours which are blue and green. I can also see some clouds. This photo looks documentary and landscape. He has zoomed right in on the mirror. I can see the rule of thirds. The mirror is almost on the right.
Information:
Peoples Park is a suite of photographs captured at dawn in and around the Peoples Park, the site of the Harbourview Sculpture Trail: emilmcavoy.com/peoplespark
The meaning of the Māori name Te Atatū is “The Dawn”. Dawn is known as a transitional moment between states of consciousness, and of light emerging from darkness. Daybreak is steeped in positive mystical associations across cultures and civilisations. Historical narratives speak of dawn as a signal of new knowledge or wisdom becoming evident in the mind.
As a transitional zone between suburban development and native coastal flora and fauna, the trail site has an important environmental function. Peoples Park celebrates the ecological, social and historical value of this place, while employing the fabricated and fantastical properties of photography.
Photographically reframing its existing natural forms, found objects and human interventions, Peoples Park encourages audiences to reimagine the site and consider its wider significance and poetic potential.

Emil McAvoy has taken this photo in People's Park of a mirror with lots of reflection in it. I see greenery, shadow, leading lines and repetition. He cropped the mirror a bit because he used cropping. This photo has been taken from a straight on angle because he has had his camera straight. I really like the composition and the framing. I can see some clouds in the sky because the weather looks cloudy. Nothing is moving in this photo because I can't see any movement at all. Emil McAvoy takes mirror photos like me.
Contextual:
Emil McAvoy is working in documentary genre
He is from Auckland New Zealand. He has a University Degree from the Elam School of fine arts. He works with Photography, video, painting and text. He is from Auckland and he is taking Photos in Auckland. Because he uses arrange of medias in his projects each project would use multiple medias such as Photography, video, painting and text.
Emil McAvoy's Photos from People's Park are similar to my photos because he is documenting the reflections he finds. Some of his Photography projects are similar to mine.
Some ideas which are similar are reflections in nature. I like to document the reflections in the photos.
Some ideas which are different are the medias used to create lots of work. I only use Photography and Emil McAvoy uses Photography, video, painting and text. He also looks at contemporary issues in the public. I like to photograph things I find which are beautiful because of how they look.
Emil McAvoy will influence my work through his use of Photography and compositional techniques he uses to take photos of reflection.
Nice work William. I can see some strong connections between Emil McAvoy's work and your Portfolio project
