Lilypads at sunrise in pond photo
John Lorenz has taken this photo of the great big fish pond with lots of reflection. Also I can see the sun rising. I can see lots of green trees. I really like how things are framed in the fish pond. I see lots of colour and light. The two cold colours that I see are blue and green. This photo has been taken with a deep depth of field because the fore ground is sharp and the back ground is blurry. Some of the leaves are cropped because John Lorenz is thinking about cropping. I see a bit of shadow on the trees. I also like the texture on the branches. This photo has been taken from a straight on angle because he had his camera straight.

One of Four Soaking Ponds (Photo by John Lorenz)
John Lorenz has taken this photo of the soaking pond with reflection of trees and sky at Valley View Hot Springs. I can see yellow flowers. There is lots of shadow. This photo has been taken with a deep depth of field because the fore ground is sharp and the back ground is sharp. In the back ground I can see some land. I like how this photo is framed. This photographer is working with rule of thirds. I can see one tree on the left and one tree on the right. This photo has been taken from a straight on angle because he held his camera straight.

John Lorenz's photos
John Lorenz has taken this photo of a river with lots of reflection. I see some dark grey rocks . My guess is that the river is shallow all the way. Also I can see the sunset. I can see some clouds in the sky. I can see the land in the back ground and water in the fore ground. This photo has been taken with a deep depth of field because the fore ground is sharp and the back ground is blurry. This photo has been taken from a straight on angle because he held his camera straight.

John Lorenz has taken this photo of a brand new river with lots of more reflection. I can see lots of shadow on all of the greenery and on the mountains. I ca also see the rule of thirds. My guess is that this brand new river is deep all the way. He really likes working with colour which is has favourite thing to do. This photo has been taken with a deep depth of field because the fore ground is sharp and the back ground is sharp. I can see some clouds in the sky. This photo has been taken from a straight on angle because he held his camera straight. I also really like the curves. I can see some white snow on the mountains.
John Lorenz is working with documentary Photography, landscape Photography.
John Lorenz's images relate to my work because he is taking photos of reflection. He is taking photos at a straight on angle because he's got his camera straight. He is using natural lighting. He likes taking photos of mountains. I don't take photos of mountains.

Great evaluation William! Can you add to this post by mentioning what genre of photography John Lorenz is working with? And how do these images relate to your work in terms of the ideas, the framing, the lighting and the subject matter?
