Week 7 - Camera Use - High Key Lighting and Low Key Lighting - In Class

I've taken this photo of Tema with her legs crossed. I've used the light meter. The aperture was F11, the shutter speed was 1/125 and the ISO was 100. There is  a lot of noise. This is high key lighting. Tema is in the middle. Only one light that was key light. I've used a softbox.

I've taken this photo of Tema standing on the white bit. She is looking at the camera. The aperture was F11, the shutter speed was 1/125 and the ISO was 100. I've used high key lighting again. I've also used the soft box.

I've taken this photo of all three women close together with low key lighting. One stripy shirt has light.  The aperture was F11, the shutter speed was 1/125 and the ISO was 100. All of the three women have long black hair. The background is black. The clothes are very dark. The photo looks very moody because it is dark. The light is on part of their faces. The right key light fired. There is a fair amount of shadows on the faces. I've also used the honey comb. It's the lighting up one area.

I've taken this photo of three women close together. I like the colours of their clothing. The aperture was F11, the shutter speed was 1/125 and the ISO was 100. All three women have long black hair. The whole image is dark because the background is dark. The lights are a little bit bright. It looks moody because of the light. My lighting is a lot better. I've asked the three young women to move forward slightly helping with better lighting on their faces and casting less shadows. It looks like a moody shot. I've changed the position of the honey comb which lit the faces better.

  1. How many lights did you use in each of these photos? And what light attachment did you use? (softbox, reflector, honeycomb grid...)
