Week 2 - Camera Use - Aperture - Research

I'm already knowing how to change the aperture on my Canon camera.
When there is less in focus. The aperture is large.
When there is more in focus. The aperture is small.

Mark Adams

Mark Adams is in the middle.

Mark Adams is one of New Zealand's most distinguished photographers. He was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and attended the Canterbury University School of Fine Arts from 1967–1970, majoring in graphic design to get access to photography. Wikipedia

Mark Adams has put these photos in rule of thirds. They are slightly under exposed. They were taken from a straight on angle because he had his camera straight.

Sally Mann

Sally Mann (born 1951) is an American photographer, best known for her large black-and-white photographs—at first of her young children, then later of landscapes suggesting decay and death.

I've looked at the book called the Photography Book. Published in 1997. Page 294.

I think This first photo is  a large aperture because the girl is in focus and the background is not in focus. It could be F5.0.

I think This second photo has got the small aperture because  it is wide focus. I think the f-stop is f22. All things in focus.

This third photo Sally Mann took was small children.  I think it has got large aperture and the f-stop is f3.5. The foreground is in focus and the background is out of focus. I think it is narrow depth of field.
