Term 2 - Week 2 - Digital Technology 2 - Evaluating an Image Exercise

John Daley

The first book that I've chosen was Big Smoke by John Daley. Published in 2004.

John Daley (1946–2012), Adelaide Road, Wellington, 1968:

I see three people crossing the road to go on to the footpath
leading lines, repetition, cropping, shape, rule of thirds,
This image makes me feel happy because I like the contrast between the light and dark.
His theme is that he likes taking photos of people crossing the road.

The second book that I've chosen is Flexible Architecture that Responds to change by Robert Kronemberg. Published in 2007

I see sky, grass, tress and a caravan
Colour, light, shape, leading lines, repetition, close up, straight on angle.
This image makes me feel happy because I like the contrast between the light and dark.
His theme is that he likes taking photos of a caravan on the grass.

The third book that I've chosen is Digital Sports Photography by Serge Timacheff and David Karlins. Published in 2005.

This photo is by William Garvin

I see sea creatures under water
